First:
Forget the 'serious design flaw' mentioned in a previous review.
Just MOVE YOUR HAND and you'll reach it with no problem.
The design?
As usual with Dyson, is superb and simple. Everything is made to
come apart easily for cleaning, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist
to put it back together. The diagrams in the handbook are clear and
concise, with no extraneous blurb to pad things out.
The cable length 'issue'?
I found 6 Metres to be enough to work with and not too long to get
tangled up around furniture. Most houses these days have multiple wall
sockets for the new fangled electricity, so moving a plug from one to
the other is hardly the end of the World. You just don't need miles of
cable any more.
The performance? Well, what do you expect me to say? Dyson
always delivers, and this vacuum is no exception to the rule.
Is it cheap?
No, but you knew that already. Dyson stuff will never be cheap
because what you are buying is not 'just another hoover' but a superbly
designed piece of work that looks cool, and will continue to look cool
long after other machines are dust.
There's also the matter of the five year guarantee, which says a lot
about Dyson's confidence in it's products.
I might add that I've just bought the AM01 fan. Nope, not cheap
either, but it's the design that makes Dyson stand out from the crowd,
and will continue to do so for as long as they remain innovators in
their field.
